About the Speaker

Amit Benjamin was born in India and raised in the Persian Gulf. Shortly after acquiring his MBA he immigrated to Canada in 2004. Following a short contract with a small employment agency, Amit was hired by Procom Consulting Group in 2005. During his three-year employment at Procom, Amit transitioned from Junior to senior Recruiter. In addition to his current role, he also trains Procom recruiters on effective recruitment techniques. After receiving Procom’s “rookie of the year” award, Amit won several “Top Recruiter” awards.

With a passion for helping people achieve their employment goals, Amit will share his experiences and insight on employment issues in Canada. He will shed light on the pitfalls of the system vs. the immigrant candidates. You will learn how to present yourself as a valuable asset to any employer and get the contract of your choice.

Amit is currently writing his first book entitled “Distant Horizon” which dissects the issues of employment in Canada as it pertains to the system vs. immigrant labour force. He is also in the process of producing a documentary on the same issue.
